TEACHING ARTIST PROGRAMS

Mosquera’s teaching-artist practice is focused on the individual learner and their place in the larger scope of community. She works with organizations and schools to create workshops that speak to deep creative practices that integrate artists' works, language, dialogues and various mediums; paying close attention to the expansiveness of the human heart and mind when creating.

Maritza has developed and implemented community, school and university arts programs for over 30 years.  Collaborating organizations include Pennsylvania Council on The Arts, The Andy Warhol Museum, Chicago Arts Partners in Education, Urban Gateways, Jewish Association on Aging, Yerba Buena and The Fabric Workshop.  In addition, Maritza has taught at various schools and universities including University of Pennsylvania, University of Alabama, Temple University, Perspectives and Noble Academies in Chicago, Pittsburgh Creative & Performing Arts School and Southwest Veterans Center in Pennsylvania. Her current focus is creating education programs that expand creative possibilities for youth and elders.
